“THE MAYA SACRED MEASUREMENTS”
“THE HOUSE OF FLOWERS”
When the archaeologist and surveyors started
examining the ruin of Palenque,
located in Southern Mexico, and built by their king Pacal also known as Pakal,
they discovered that they couldn’t pinpoint what the Maya engineers and
builders used as measurement. It was not inches or centimeters or any other
unit of measure know to the civilized world.
One of the scientists doing research spent some time
talking to an old man known around those parts as a Shaman. The Shaman kept
repeating: “The flowers are in our homes.” “The flowers are in our homes.”
After months of studies and research they discover
that the Maya used four circles to create a square and they use these squares as their
unit of measurement. The joining of the four circles automatically creates a
flower.
